SEIKO

Seiko was found in 1881 in Tokyo by Kintaro Hattori. Eleven years later, the company started producing watches under the brand name Sheikosha, while in 1924 it was finally renamed Seiko, which in Japanese means "success". In 1913 with the creation of Laurel, the first wrist watch in Japan, Hattori hit one of his most important goals, to make Seiko a company “Always one step ahead of the rest”.
1969 was a signature year for Seiko, since it introduced Astron, the first quartz watch in the world. Since then, Hattori's vision has led Seiko into more than a century of innovation and constant commitment for progress in the sense of accuracy, functionality and excellence. With the new moto “Moving Ahead. Touching Hearts”, Seiko promises to keep on innovating and aims to a new standard of functional and sentimental satisfaction.
